Not feeling grumpy, for the first time in years.

It’s the little weirdnesses. Like the fact that some of my fave shirts are no longer “work clothes,” and I can wear them anytime. Or that I can plan yardwork for a weekday morning. That I can get away from my desk by walking outside, maybe pulling a few weeds.

Watching “The Doctor’s Wife,” and wondering how Auntie and Uncle could get bits of Time Lord implanted and not be changed given that Time Lords have to be burned when they die in order to prevent their genetic material from falling into the wrong hands.

Anyone know anything about that OMG creepy painting in the hallway? I have a feeling that it was just Moffat or someone playing silly buggers, because whoever hung it there must have known it was a scene-stealing prop.

I do enjoy the series music, but after the show is over, I tend to forget about it. Then Julie Czerneda mentioned that she received the Series 5 soundtrack for Christmas and it hit me that whoa, the stuff is out there and I really do like listening to it. “Onwards!” is a favorite, and Amy’s music is lovely and poignant.

My favorite bit in this episode was River and Amy’s meeting in the backyard of Amy’s house. Mother and daughter syncing their diaries over a bottle of wine. It made me happy.
